NGBS seeking certification signage is designed for use during construction, directly at the construction site.  While site signs identifying firms or with building illustrations are common, these banners inform every passer-by of the added value proposition your units deliver.  It’s low cost marketing, targeting the most important geography for your project – the people who spend time around the site.  When NGBS green certification is achieved, they’ll know the building uses resources efficiently and was built with modern standards – something you can hang your hat on during tours and sales meetings.

These offerings fit a wide range of buildings and locales, and please choose whichever is most effective for marketing your specific project.  Below are additional details as well as pros and cons for each sign and banner type.

Yard Signs: yard signs are 18″ x 24″, use thin gauge, easy-to-recycle 100% aluminum faces and all steel frames.  They are durable and sturdy, but need to be pushed into the ground.  For dry climates, worn out drill bits can be handy to make pilot holes.  Overall, these signs are small, and most appropriate for single family homes or placed in multiple high traffic, short viewing distance spots in locales where banners are not allowed.  Larger sizes available. 

52″ x 144″ Vinyl Free NGBS Banners: these look like traditional banners, and are hemmed and grommeted in the same way.  Rather than polyvinyl chloride, the banner is PET based with scrim reinforcing, making them several steps more responsible.  Grommets are placed every 2′, and we recommend support at each grommet when installing.  

72″ x 144″ Mesh NGBS Fence Banners: mesh banner material has tiny holes throughout the surface area so wind force is dramatically reduced.  This makes them ideal for perimeter fences.  Colors are slightly muted due to the holes, and banners are hemmed on all edges.  Grommets are placed every 2′, and we recommend support at each grommet when installing.  One heavy duty seam runs the length of the banner.  

72″ x 144″ Solid NGBS  Fence Banners: these site banners feature heavy duty standard banner material.  Grommets are placed every 2′, and we recommend support at each grommet when installing.  There may be one heavy duty seam running the length of the banner.  These are also often used on trailer or container sides.  

20′ x 30′ NGBS Building Banners: these building banners feature extra heavy duty, reinforced banner material.  Seams run the length of the banner.  This type of banner is designed to be installed high up on a building or framing, to maximize the field of vision.  Professional installation is recommended – 60 MPH winds will deliver over 5,000 lbf on a banner this size, and braided aircraft cable woven between grommets and fastened to heavy duty anchors is typical.  Please email us if you’d like wind slits.

Green Dot Sign® continuously tests materials for durability, while evaluating for sustainability.  Vinyl free banners are the only environmentally responsible exterior banner we have determined acceptable, and it’s max width is 52″.  Due to durability requirements, larger banners offered here use traditional banner materials.  While we develop processes and technologies related to sustainable architectural signage, for adhesive films and banners we’re limited to mass-market produced materials.  We will replace vinyl banners with vinyl free materials as soon as viable alternatives are available.
